Her-Csi-Hús Kft. was founded in 1992 after the political change in Hungary. The company was privatized from Hungarian State by two families. The main plant of the company has big tradition in poultry processing since many decades. The plant slaughters and processes 10 millions of broiler chicken per year The owners of the company understood from the very beginning that food processing company can only be successful in the long term if its main business activity is based on the food safety, product quality and environment protection and that is the only way to assure the sustainable development of the company.

The developing investments are also based on the main pillars of food safety-product quality- and environment protection. In the last two decades the company made many developments into food technology (mainly Stork branded poultry processing machinery), environment protection, building facilities. In 2010 there is an ongoing investment into a new Stork branded chicken breast deboning line. Her-Csi-Hús Kft. has got a complete further processing plant with a capacity of 6,000,000 kg per year. There is a very high growth rate (over 30% yearly) of the sales in terms of the further processed products in the recent years.
Her-Csi-Hús Kft introduced first the “Happy chicken” animal welfare program into the Hungarian market. The welfare products of this program are targeting a market niche which is between the industrial “common broiler chicken” and free range chicken products. The SGS quality company audits this happy chicken animal welfare program with their Servicert program. The company is seeking costumer needs and demands and developing new products. In the beginning of 2010 there will be product launch of a brand new sliced chicken breast ham.

It is the main supplier of Hungarian Spar and Metro supermarket groups. The company sells their products abroad to many European countries like: Austria, England, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
